There once was a girl named Lori
Who wanted to read a story
She got a book about a cook
And liked it very much.

This poem, which was published in kindergarten, began a love of language that has been with me to this day.  The teacher asked me to write about what I knew, so I did.  I still do.  And if I don't know about it, I ask a lot of questions.  You'll find that out about me when we work together.

Between OAC subjects in French Grammar, French Literature, German, Drama, Math, Writer's Craft, Law, and Physical Education in high school, I spent much of my spare time writing children's books and short films (including Ducks and Simple Hans in my Video section.)

I spent over ten years (and my entire adolescence) with the Whitby Courthouse Theatre Youth Group.  Besides directing, stage-managing, designing, and acting in numerous productions, I co-wrote a musical adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland for children's theatre.

I am constantly seeking to update my skills as both a writer and a communicator; I have just completed my certificate in Professional Communications at the University of Toronto, including courses in Business Writing, Copywriting, and Technical Writing.

At the moment, my creative pursuits include creating streaming video for the web, enjoying a never-ending honeymoon, and adapting the Grimm Brothers' Sleeping Beauty to musical theatre - here's a sneak peek.

I'm also honing my online skills with a professional blog, and I'm currently a content manager for a site dedicated to couples who enjoy co-op video games, which will be launched soon.

Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about upcoming projects; you are also more than welcome to view my current curriculum vitae.
